Educational environment perception and cognitive load among physical therapy students during e-learning

Background: Understanding students' perception of the educational environment and their cognitive load in this context is crucial for optimizing effectiveness e-learning platforms. Objective: To compare under-graduates Doctor Physical Therapy (DPT) post-graduate Master Science (MSPT) students having online learning experiences. Methodology: In comparative cross-sectional study, data was collected through non-probability convenient sampling from n=274 DPT (n=225) post-graduates MSPT(n=49) either gender one-semester experience learning, Dundee Ready Education Environment Measure (DREEM) measuring environmental Rating Scale Mental Effort (RSME) measurement load. Online self-structured developed questionnaire shared communication media platform analysis made SPSS version 28. Results: There were n=225 n=49 which, there n=208 females n=66 males. The overall DREEM score showed that MSPT are more significantly positive (p<0.001, Cohen’s d=1.01) than regarding with a large effect size. While no significant difference (p=0.114) between MSP Conclusion: Post-graduates have better undergraduate but students. Keywords: cognition; load; mental effort; e-learning; physiotherapist.
